U18 Ireland team announced for this week's Four Nations tournament

A panel of 16 players has been chosen by head coach Paul Kelleher and his backroom team for the Ireland U18 men's team ahead of the trip to Cardiff for this week's Four Nations tournament - comprising of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

The Four Nations returns after a two-year break and it will give elite players the opportunity to put on their national team vests and come together to play for their country and showcase their talents ahead of selection for this summer's FIBA U18 European Championships - with Ireland competing in Division B in Romania.

All games will be shown on the BBL Player and shared via the Basketball Ireland social media, on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Speaking ahead of this week's competition, head coach Paul Kelleher said:

“This an exciting event that has resurfaced after a long absence. I remember my brother representing Ireland over 20 years ago and he always enjoyed it. Let’s hope it back for good now and will be a great start to prep for the European Championships. It really has allowed the players and staff to have a focus this early and it’s been great to see how competitive our practices have become because of it. The squad have been working hard, and we are looking forward to seeing how we perform."

There are three games scheduled for Ireland in Cardiff on Wednesday and Thursday.
