Cork County Basketball Board to host first coaching conference

Cork County Basketball Board will hold its first ever coaching conference this month. 

It will take place on Saturday, August 27th at the Parochial Hall Gurranabraher from 11.00am to 4.00PM .  The main speaker will be Alan Keane who is Head of Basketball at Boroughmuir Blaze  B.C. in Edinburgh Scotland. Alan has been coaching GB National teams for 14 years and also coached Reading Rockets NBL Team. He is Co- Founder of MVMT Sports and has huge and extensive Coaching Knowledge.

He will be joined by Timmy McCarthy, ex-Blue Demons Player and coach, Irish senior international. He has also  coached and captained the Irish senior mens team and been involved with other Irish international teams. Mr.McCarthy also has his own Management Consultancy Company. Timmy will speak on Leadership/ Coaching/ Motivation and Management Skills.

There will also be interactive coaching sessions. This is open to all coaches who have their introductory level coaching badge. Their will be CPD points available for this.

The conference is free to all coaches coaching in the Cork County Basketball Board Leagues. (Mens / Boys )

It is also open to coaches from all over Ireland at a cost of €25 per participant.
