Basketball Ireland will announce new club fundraising tools in the coming weeks, after the decision was made by the Board of Basketball Ireland to cease the annual Club Draw.
After extensive consultation with stakeholders the decision was made to move to a new club-centred solution.
Prof. Seamas Donnelly, Chair of Basketball Ireland, said: “The Club Draw has historically been a wonderful fundraising opportunity for clubs, however following feedback from clubs, we’ve elected to transition to a club-centred approach. We’ve found that increasingly clubs elected to run their own fundraising efforts and Basketball Ireland will be assisting with this by launching a new fundraising pack, to help empower clubs to generate much-needed funds.”
Basketball Ireland will update clubs in due course.
