Basketball Ireland has launched a new Coaching Course Request form for use by all members, clubs and Area Boards. 

If anyone looking to organise a coaching course they must make a request using the below form. If you are an individual looking to attend a course you can register your interest on the form below also. You will be contacted once courses are available.

Individuals will also be able to book into any upcoming public courses via Helpside.

Course hours and costs

Intro Coaching Course 

• Duration: 8 hours (host club/school provides use of court and classroom)
• Cost: €1000
• Min participants 12, Max 24 participants,
• Minimum Age: 16 years  

Level 1 Coaching Course

• Cost: €1550
• Min participants 10, max 24 participants
• Minimum Age: 17 years 
• Duration: 20 hours (2.5 Days) (host club/school provides use of court and classroom) 
• Must have completed an intro course at least 12 months in advance of the Level 1 Coaching Course.

A recent survey by Basketball Ireland of female coaches in Ireland found that there were many up and coming young coaches who wanted to hear more from experienced female coaches in Ireland.

As part of our ‘Dream Big’ #SheGotGame women in sport campaign – Basketball Ireland have featured a host of female coaches who are currently (or have recently been) coaching at National League, international and/or Academy level here in Ireland, to learn about their background, their coaching careers and any tips and tricks they have for new coaches.
