Marrianna Troy is a dedicated professional with a passion for healthcare and community service. Previously she held the position of an accountant at a prominent Dublin Hospital, currently serves as the Surgical Outpatients Operational Manager.

Marrianna has shattered boundaries by becoming not only the youngest but the first black individual to attain a managerial title within the institution. Beyond her career in healthcare, Marrianna demonstrates an unwavering commitment to community service through her volunteer work with the homeless community. Sports has always been the cornerstone of Marrianna’s life which saw her on a journey to representing her country at a young age before venturing off to the US to attend University.

During her time in college Marrianna was appointed Vice President of the BSU Committee (Black Scholars United) for a term of 2 years. After completing her education and a number of years living state side Marrianna returned to home soil.

During her years off the court Marrianna was an ambassador for the Woman in Sport 20x20 Campaign encouraging woman towards healthy habits. Marrianna has a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance (Weber State University, 2015) and a diploma in Hospital Management (RCSI Group 2022).

I’ve been playing & involved in wheelchair basketball since 1989. I’ve played for a number of teams during that time including Killester WBC and North East Thunder where I was also head coach for a number of years. I’ve represented my country in the 2005 European Division Championships in Portugal.

I am currently secretary & compliance officer for the Irish Wheelchair Basketball League, manager of the senior men’s Irish wheelchair basketball team and secretary of the National Sports Executive Committee of the Irish Wheelchair Association Sport.

I’m a licensed FIBA Statistician since 2017 and have worked at 3 European Championships in the running game and numerous National Cups finals weekends and Internationals. I’m the sole statistician for the Irish Wheelchair Basketball League.

Originally, I am from Belgrade, Serbia and I moved to Ireland in 2013. I am bringing 10 years of experience of working in a charity sector and homelessness. Basketball-wise, most recently I was the head Coach and player for Fr. Mathews Men's National League team for four seasons. Prior to this I played for Blue Demons and Neptune in Ireland, and college basketball in the US. I look forward to blending all the experiences and putting them to a good use!

Mum of two neurodiverse girls and married to Joe, a Kiwi, so it's basketball against rugby in our home (basketball wins!).

Ex-elite player in the late '80s, NCAA Division 1 University scholarship. BA in Politics and Communications filled by MBS in UCD Smurfit Graduate School.

Now proudly still shuffling up and down the court wearing Templeogue BC red in Division 5 Dublin League and Friday club SOCIA-Ball.

I also coach primary school girls and I'm passionate about making it easier for young people with neurodiversity & disability to experience the joy and benefits of playing our wonderful sport.

I am a National League referee and have been refereeing in the Super League for the past 4 years.

I have been involved with refereeing basketball at various levels for over 10 years and spent 5 of those as the Secretary of the National Referees Committee, National League Officials Commission and National Basketball Referees Association.

Outside of basketball, I work as a civil servant in the justice sector and I play hurling with Na Gaeil Aeracha, Ireland’s first explicitly LGBTQ+ inclusive GAA club. I’m looking forward to working with the D&I committee and applying my learnings from across my sporting and professional experiences.

Elaine Mahon is an experienced trainer and project manager in global justice, human rights, equality and interculturalism in the Community and Voluntary sector, and has spent time working overseas with the European Union in Sudan and Brussels. Elaine works part time in IDEA (Irish Development Education Association) and carries out freelance work in the areas of child protection and safeguarding, Global Citizenship education, youth participation and volunteering, as well as anti-racism and inclusion.

Elaine is passionate about promoting solidarity and justice among communities in Ireland and making connections with others in Europe and the wider world, and is particularly interested in the rights of national minorities, such as the Traveller community in Ireland.

Elaine plays basketball with Killester Basketball Club Division 4 Ladies team, having returned as a player after an almost 20 year break since college. She also coaches in the Development Academy (ages 4-8).

Four-year scholarship player and Hall of Fame inductee at Fordham University; former Junior, Senior and 3x3 Irish International player; has played and coached at all levels, currently Head Coach with Liffey Celtics Division One Women’s Team; former member of Basketball Ireland’s EPC and WNLC committees;

Telecommunications professional with experience working with Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging programmes.
