Keynote speaker announced for Referees National Conference 2026

Inaugural FIBA high potential programme participant and former NLOP member David Collings will give the keynote address at NBRA's National Conference, which takes place in the Killeshin Hotel in Portlaoise on the weekend of September 5/6th. 

Collins was awarded his FIBA licence in 2003, refereeing  at all levels up to men's Division A national teams and an FIBA U20 Women's final. He was also a help in several roles with BOCI (now NBRA) and the National Referees Committee (NRC), and sat on several basketball Ireland committees. After a decade out of the game, he now coaches, referees a little, and supports his two girls on their basketball journey.

Saturday, September 5th will be dedicated to grassroots, with all topics tailored to referees officiating at this level, while Sunday September 6th will be focused on National League referees. A full programme schedule will be announced in due course.
