The second weekend of the AIG All-Ireland Club Championships will take place this weekend, as the U16 girls competition reaches Gormanston, Co. Meath.
The AIG AICC's are the premier basketball competition in Ireland for U14 and U16 boys and girls. First was the AIG U14 Girls All-Ireland Club Championship on March 28th and 29th which saw Bantry, Fr. Mathews and Longford Phoenix return home with silverware. It's the turn of the U16 girls this coming weekend (Saturday, April 18th and Sunday, April 19th), before the U16 boys (Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th) and U14 boys (Saturday, May 2nd and Sunday, May 3rd) respectively round off a busy month for grassroots basketball.
AIG is Basketball Ireland's 'Club and Community' partner, which includes title sponsorship of the All-Ireland Club Championship.
The AIG All-Ireland Club Championship (AICC's) is an all ticket event that takes place in Gormanston, Co. Meath.
