Basketball Ireland is pleased to announce that Leixlip Amenities is becoming a Team Supporter of the Ireland U20 women for the upcoming FIBA Youth EuroBasket tournament in August.
Ireland will face Ukraine and Great Britain in the group phase as they look to progress to the quarter-finals for the second year in succession. Ireland U20 women's head coach Karl Kilbride has named his final twelve-player squad at the start of June, which includes three players who have been capped for the Irish senior international women's team in the last year. Recent Texas University commit Grace Prenter, Cleveland Rockets' Caitlin Gloeckner and Meteors BC's Aisling Moran, while two players - Izzy Sullivan and Lucy Hynes - will make their FIBA Youth EuroBasket debuts in Miskolc, Hungary.
Basketball Ireland’s Head of Commercial and Brand Gus Lewis said: “It's fantastic for the ongoing preparation of our U20 WNT that Leixlip Amenities has decided to become a Team Supporter for the upcoming FIBA Youth EuroBasket in Hungary. This group has been hugely successful at recent tournaments, so I am excited to see how Karl (Kilbride) and his team get on in their opening group games.
