What is in the course

Mike works a small group through the things he coaches every day. The sessions were filmed at the National Basketball Arena and run uncut, so you hear the cues exactly as he uses them with players.

• Module 1: Building the Dribble (32 minutes). The base, super-setting in blocks of 10, 8, 5 and 1, the crossover as a pull rather than a wrap, and a six-minute warm-up players can do every day.
• Module 2: The Bump Series (41 minutes). Four contact games, from a baseline bump to live one-on-one. Bump at an angle, take what the defender gives, sprint to move the defender.
• Module 3: Screens and Drop Defence (15 minutes). Over and under reads on a ball screen, drop defence, avoiding the crowd, and filling behind a teammate's drive.

Inside the course

Each module opens with Mike on screen, sets out what you will be able to coach afterwards, and finishes with a short quiz built from what he says on court.

How it works

Who it is for

Any coach working on individual offence, from club underage teams up to academy and senior level. There are no prerequisites and you can come back to the sessions as often as you like.
