December Player & Coach of the Month awardees selected

A strong quarter-final victory over Team 360 Financial Killorglin in the InsureMyHouse.ie Pat Duffy Cup, earning them their semi-final spot, was a boost for DBS Éanna head coach Darren McGovern towards winning the Coach of the Month award. Coupled with two home National League wins, it was a clean slate for the Dublin club in December, earning head coach McGovern his award. De'ondre Jackson is a deserving winner of the player of the month award, avergaing 24 points a game in December. Jackson also helped his side book their spot.

The duo of head coach Mark Scannell & star player Claire Melia of The Address UCC Glanmire were selected for the MissQuote.ie Super League Player & Coach of the Month for December following some impressive performances, with this also being Melia's 3rd Player of the Month award in a row.

In the InsureMyVan.ie Division 1, Tobia Christensen was the top player, with his performance this month epitomised by his 30 point tally against Limerick Celtics. Head coach for UCC Demons Danny O'Mahony kept a clean sheet for the month in both league and cup, earning him Coach of the Month.

Shannon Cunningham of LYIT Donegal is the awardee of Player of the Month in the MissQuote.ie Division 1, after she scored a whopping 40 points in her team's victory over Limerick Celtics in the National League. Limerick Sport Huskies' head coach Des O'Sullivan has been awarded Coach of the Month on the back of his team's powerful performances during the month, with a spot in this weekend's semi-finals a just reward for their displays in December.
