Applications open for 2025/26 Dream Programme for referees

Following the success of last season’s launch of our female-only referee programme, Basketball Ireland are proud to return this year with an expanded initiative: the Dream Programme.

This season, the programme will offer:

• 25 dedicated places for female referees
• 15 additional places open to all members

The Dream Programme is designed to create opportunity, build confidence, and raise the standard of officiating across all levels of basketball.

What the Programme Includes

• Tournament-Based Training – Hands-on experience in real game environments.
• Online Learning Modules – Flexible education covering rules, mechanics, and game management.
• One-on-One Mentoring – Personal guidance from experienced officials to support growth and development.
