National Basketball Arena relaunches as premier indoor event space

The National Basketball Arena is delighted to relaunch as one of Ireland’s premier indoor event spaces. It comes following a busy month at the Arena, with Dublin Brick Con – the largest showcase of LEGO in Ireland - and Lynas’ Your Food Show, among the events held there in October.

As part of the relaunch, the Arena has teamed up with leading support services, including as Sound to Light, with more to be announced soon.

Gus Lewis, Basketball Ireland Head of Commercial and Brand, said: “We’re delighted to relaunch the National Basketball Arena as a premium indoor event space for Ireland. We have complemented our existing professional service offering with top class support services. The Arena offers a multi-access, flexible event space, which is ideal for trade shows, corporate conferences, exams and sporting events, with capacity for up to 2,500 attendees and 500 free parking spaces on site.” 

Located just off the M50 in Tymon Park, South Dublin, the Arena already plays host to cultural and sporting events, trade shows - such as GLAS Ireland - and is also the home of Irish basketball, hosting FIBA Basketball World Cup and FIBA EuroBasket games. 

Lewis added: “Basketball Ireland is a not-for-profit entity and by holding your event here at the National Basketball Arena the revenue raised goes directly back into the sport, from our international sides, to grassroots and schools basketball. There are 250 basketball clubs spread across every corner of Ireland, the sport has a 50/50 gender balance among its playing population and it’s diverse too, with over 80 nationalities represented.” 

Arena Manager, Karen O’Leary, stated: “The National Basketball Arena is a multi-use, multi-access, inclusive facility, which can cater to a wide variety of needs and we’re really pleased to relaunch the venue as a destination for major corporate events. Our experienced staff will be delighted to welcome clients and guests, showcasing your event in the best possible light.”

The National Basketball Arena is a modern event space, equipped with two 15m square HD LED screens, an in-house PA system, high-speed cabled and Wi-Fi internet access with 200 Mbps upload and download speeds. 

It is perfect for a wide range of events, thanks to its flexible layout. There are multiple spaces available - the main arena has a capacity for up to 2,500 attendees and can cater for up 1,500 seated guests. The hospitality suite is ideal for workshops, meetings and receptions for up to 100 guests. The Boardroom can host 20 guests for formal meetings, seminars, or it can be transformed in press conference room, while six Arena changing rooms provide event breakout areas.
