Domino’s signs new three-year title sponsorship of Men’s and Women’s Super League and Division One

Ballincollig will begin the defence of their Domino’s Men’s Super League title with a trip to Limerick Celtics on October 3rd, while Domino’s Women’s Super League champions Trinity Meteors host Career Decisions UCC Glanmire, in a repeat of last season’s Super League playoff final. The release of 2026/27 season fixtures come as Domino’s has been announced as title sponsors of the Domino’s Men’s and Women’s Super League and Division One for the next three seasons. 

Ireland’s favourite pizza brand came on board as title partners midway through the 2024/25 season and Eoin Corrigan, Domino’s Ireland Head of Marketing, welcomed the sponsorship extension.

Ballincollig, who won the Domino’s Men’s Super League and Domino’s MSL National Cup double last season, lost their season opener against Limerick Celtics last season, however defeated Tony Hehir’s side in the Domino’s MSL National Cup semi-finals and the Super League playoff quarter-finals.  

Speaking ahead of the new season, Ballincollig player/coach Ciaran O’Sullivan said: “The first game of the season is always exciting and has a distinct feel and energy. The result won’t define any team, but you certainly want to set the tone for the season ahead and try to an integrate your new players as quickly as possible. Limerick Celtics showed last season that they are a highly competitive team, reaching the Domino’s MSL National Cup semi-finals and the Super League playoffs, so to win away from home in Limerick will mean we executed at a high level.”

Newly promoted Limerick Eagles travel to Dublin to take on St. Vincent’s. Garvey’s Tralee Warriors, under new head coach Gareth Moore, host Belfast Star; Killester with Mike Olsen at the helm, face EJ Sligo All-Stars and UCD Marian play Energywise Ireland Neptune. 

2024/25 Domino’s Super League champions UCC Demons start life with Stuart Rodgers in the hotseat by hosting host Griffith College Éanna on Sunday 4th October.  

Domino’s has signed a new three-year title sponsorship of the Men’s and Women’s Super League and Division One. The announcement comes as fixtures for the 2026/27 season were released on Friday. Pictured Aisling Moran (Trinity Meteors) and Amy Buckley (Limerick Celtics). 

Trinity Meteors, who won their first league title since 1992/93 when they defeated Career Decisions UCC Glanmire 87-81 in the Domino’s Women’s Super League playoff final, begin their defence by hosting the Cork side on Saturday 3rd October.  

Trinity Meteors have appointed Anthony Dodson as head coach for the 2026/27 season, replacing Seamas Donnelly, who stepped down. Dodson served as assistant coach for the last two seasons and is relishing the prospect of taking the step up into the role and testing his side against Career Decisions UCC Glanmire once more in their season opener. 

“I’m delighted to take on the role as head coach of Trinity Meteors for the upcoming season. Last year was an amazing achievement for the club after such a long wait. However, our focus is now on looking forward, there are so many changes across the league each season, coaches and players, that it is important for us to move on and focus on the challenge ahead. The first game of the season is generally a tough one and facing Glanmire will be no exception. They had a fantastic season, are an excellent club and tough team to play against. It should be a great match.”, Dodson stated. 

Domino’s WSL National Cup champions Killester start their league campaign against Utility Trust St. Paul’s. The two sides finished first and second respectively in the 2025/26 regular season standings, with matching 14-4 records. Limerick Celtics first ever Domino’s Women’s Super League game sees them travel to last season’s Cup runners-up FloMAX Liffey Celtics. Gurranabraher Credit Union Brunell begin with a home game against SETU Waterford Wildcats, while Portlaoise Panthers host VSC Cavan Eagles.  

Last season’s beaten Domino’s Men’s Division One finalists Titans begin their campaign at home at home against Portlaoise Panthers, while last season’s Domino’s MD1 National Cup runners up Drogheda Wolves start with a trip to Moy Tolka Rovers. Flexachem KCYMS, who were relegated from the Domino’s Men’s Super League, host Maree in their first game back in the second tier. Elsewhere there is a Dublin derby with Malahide hosting Dublin Lions, Maigh Cuilinn face Tipp Talons, Carrick Cruisers play Ulster University, while SPK Utility Trust Lakers take on Templeogue.  

The two competition debutants - Ongar Chasers and Uniquely Tralee Warriors - begin life in Domino’s Women’s Division One with home games against Swords Thunder and Abbey Seals Dublin Lions respectively. Last season’s Domino’s Women’s Division One playoff finalists Cleveland Rockets, who also finished top of the regular season standings, start their campaign at University of Galway Mystics. 2025/26 Domino’s WD1 National Cup winners Limerick Sport Huskies host Moy Tolka Rovers in their opener, while Clunetech Kilkenny Stars are at home to Templeogue. 

The inaugural Men’s Division Two league campaign doesn’t start until October 31st. Teams kickstart their 2026/27 campaigns on October 3rd by competing in a preliminary Cup competition over the opening three weekends, with two places in the Domino’s MD1 National Cup at stake.  Ballina Braves, who won two MSL National Cups in 1990/91 and 1995/96 and a Men’s Super League title in 1991/92, begin their season at home against Dublin Raiders. Elsewhere there’s a Dublin derby between Trinity College and Ongar Chasers, Team North West play Arcadia Athlone and Fr Mathews host Affinity Institute Cavan Eagles.

Domino’s Men’s Super League 

It is a 12-team straight league, with top eight teams qualifying for the end-of-season playoffs.  The bottom placed team is relegated. 

Domino’s Women’s Super League 

It is a 10-team straight league with top eight teams qualifying for the end-of-season playoffs. The bottom placed team is relegated. 

Domino’s Men’s Division One  

The 14-team Domino’s Men’s Division One is split into two Conferences of seven teams, with teams facing their Conference opponents home and away. Each team will also have seven cross-Conference games. 

The top four teams from each Conference qualify for the end-of-season playoffs – 1st North v 4th South, 2nd North v 3rd South, etc. The playoffs winner is promoted to the Domino’s Men’s Super League. The seventh-placed teams from each Conference will be relegated to Men’s Division 2.

Men’s Division Two is an eight-team straight league, with each side playing each other home and away. The top four teams go into the end-of-season playoffs. The playoffs winners will be promoted to Domino’s Men’s Division One. There is no relegation from Men’s Division Two. 

In addition, two teams competing in Men’s Division Two will also play in the Domino’s MD1 National Cup to compete for the Presidents’ Cup. They will be decided through three preliminary rounds of games at the start of the league – two groups of four and each team will play each group opponent once. The top team in each group qualifies for the President’s Cup.
