The Jr. NBA Draft for 2025 has taken place at the National Basketball Arena, as 10 clubs and their local schools found out their affiliated NBA teams for the upcoming programme.
St Nessans NS in Limerick have been paired with the current NBA champion Boston Celtics, Gaelscoil an Grove Road NS in Malahide have drawn last year's beaten finalist Dallas Mavericks, while Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal, Inchicore are matched up with the Luka Doncic led Los Angeles Lakers.

The primary goal of the Jr. NBA in Ireland, which is in its sixth year, is to provide a fun opportunity for children to be introduced to basketball. Basketball Ireland want to ensure that everybody taking part in the programme has the same goal; to give young players an engaging introduction to the sport. It's a great, non-competitive way for schools to start their journey in basketball.
