Basketball Ireland would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Bruce Kelliher, who tragically passed away.
Bruce grew up in Tralee and all who remember him from those days will remember him with either a basketball or a skateboard in his hand. He was a talented basketballer, athlete and gymnast while also being a skateboarding, snowboarding and surfing enthusiast.

In basketball Bruce was a talented player who brought so much energy to his game, normally as a point-guard with an great ability to dunk and shoot three-pointers. Bruce was part of the very successful Tralee Tigers (now named Garveys Tralee Warriors) team during the 90s and was an inspiration to all.

After returning from working and living in Germany, Bruce settled in Oranmore, Co. Galway with his wife Michelle and their three sons, where he was involved with both Maree Basketball Club and Moycullen Basketball Club. Bruce will be sadly missed by all in the basketball community in Kerry and Galway. We offer our respects to his wife Michelle, their three sons Ruben, Mason & Archie, his parents Evelyn & Rae, his sisters Tracey & Alma, his brothers Ritchard and Graham, mother-in-law Peg and all of his wider group of family & friends. Our thoughts are also with the club members of Maree BC & Moycullen BC whoplayed with Bruce in recent years, and to his former teammates in Tralee Tigers.
