Vacancy - Basketball Ireland Development Officer Dublin

Basketball Ireland is inviting applications for the role of Development Officer to oversee the development and implementation of a dedicated strategy for basketball within the North East Inner City and Trinity College Dublin.

The successful candidate will be committed to providing participation opportunities for all sections of the community in various basketball activities. They will work with organisations including local authorities, clubs, schools and Basketball Ireland, with the primary goal of ensuring that suitable programmes and training services are in place at local and national levels.

Job title:

‘Basketball Ireland Development Officer to work within Dublin's North East Inner City and Trinity College. 

Reports To:

Basketball Ireland Head of Development.

Required:

  • A third-level qualification in Sports Management or a related discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Be an effective part of a team.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired:

  • An interest in basketball and a passion for helping Basketball Ireland grow the sport in the coming years.
  • Knowledge of the sport as it exists currently in Ireland.
  • Knowledge of the Irish sporting landscape, including Sport Ireland and the LSP network.
