Former Irish international Michael Creevey dies

Basketball Ireland would like to extend its condolences to the family and friends of former Irish international Michael (Mick) Creevey, who died on July 10^th in Melbourne, Australia. Well known in Irish basketball circles, he played all his basketball with Corinthians, before emigrating to Australia 25 years ago.

Creevey was an Irish international and also played for Dublin, Leinster and Ireland. He participated in the first pre-Olympic qualifiers for Ireland in 1972. He is survived by his sons Damian and Michael Jr. and his brothers Denis, Robbie, John and his sister Ann.
