January Player and Coach of Month awards announced

Claire Melia has won her fourth MissQuote.ie Super League Player of the Month award in a row, taking January's prize. Melia claimed the MVP in The Address UCC Glanmire's InsureMyHouse.ie National Cup final win over DCU Mercy. She backed it up with a 42 point performance in their MissQuote.ie Super League win against Killester last weekend. 

Melia's teammate Áine McKenna was runner up for the monthly award, with DCU Mercy's Bailey Greenberg third in the standings.

It is a The Address UCC Glanmire double, with Mark Scannell also being handed the Coach of the Month award after their Cup success, with the club also currently leading the way in the MissQuote.ie Super League.

The InsureMyVan.ie Super League Player of the Month went to Garvey's Tralee Warriors player Daniel Jokubaitis, finishing ahead of Killester's Kason Harrell and Tradehouse Central Ballincollig's Andre Nation. Jokubaitis was also the MVP in the InsureMyHouse.ie Pat Duffy National Cup final

The InsureMyVan.ie Super League Coach of the Month has been won by Garvey's Tralee Warriors head coach John Dowling.

UCC Demons dominated the InsureMyVan.ie Division 1 awards, with Tobias Christensen edging his teammate Tala Fam Thiam for the player award, while Andre Wolford of Limerick Celitcs was third in the voting.

The Coach of the Month prize has gone to UCC Demons head coach Danny O'Mahony, following their Presidents' Cup win and as the team continued their unbeaten start to the InsureMyHouse.ie Division 1.

The MissQuote.ie Division 1 award was claimed by Hazel Finn after she helped NUIG Mystics to the InsureMyHouse.ie Women's Division 1 Cup final, chipping in with 14 points and nine rebounds. Limerick Celtics' Sofia Paska, who last week scored 28 points against Marble City Hawks and 29 points against Tipperary Knights, was runner-up. InsureMyHouse.ie Women's Division 1 National Cup MVP Courtney Cecere was third in voting.

Paul O'Brien claimed the MissQuote.ie Division 1 Coach of the Month award after Cup success and with NUIG Mystics continuing to lead the way in the South Conference.
