All-Ireland 'C' Schools League champions crowned

The final four All-Ireland Schools League champions were crowned on a frantic final day of action at the National Basketball Arena yesterday. 

Munster sides dominated the day with trophies making their way back to Limerick, Cork and Kerry respectively. 

First on the floor, Limerick Educate Together Secondary School just touched off St. Jospehs Rochfortbridge in the Junior 'C' boys final, led by 17-points from Orhi Artola. 

The Minor 'C' girls final went the way of Mungret Community College also of Limerick, after an enthralling, high scoring clash with Coachford College. 

St. Michael's Listowel showed a very strong hand in adding to a very successful week for basketball in the kingdom by taking the Minor 'C' Boys final against Coláiste na Hinse. 

The last game on the slate was the Junior 'C' Girls decider and much like the preceeding contests this week, it was a fantastic display of basketball with both Presentation Listowel and Coachford College contributing. 

It the end it was the Cork team who got the better of the arguement in a 36-33 shootout.

Junior C Boys Final: 

St. Joseph's Rochfordsbridge:  21 (6) - (Cormac McKeogh 8, Jack Carroll  5, Keelan Murphy 3)

Limerick ETSS :  24 (4) - (Orhi Artola 17, Elliot Artola 3, Noah Jackson, Sam Taylor both 2)


Minor C Girls: 

Coachford College: 33 (17) - (Laura Twomey 7, Sinead McNamara, Niamh Twomey both 6)

Mungret Community School:  41 (22) - Laura Gocek 15, Anna Nealon 8, Meabh Purtill 7)


Minor C Boys: 

Colaiste na Hinse 9(4)  Sean Phelan 4, Lennon O’Connell and Declan Ehigie 2 Points each

St. Michaels Listowel 36(14)  Timmy O’Connell 10, Ronan Sheridan 9 and PJ Dowling 6 Points


Junior C Girls Final: 

Pres Listowel:  33 (15) -  (Saoirse Dillon 24, Shauna Breen, Aoibheann Buckley both 3)

Coachford College:  36 (14) - (Cliona McNamara 8, Ava Buckley, Niamh Twomey both 6)
