Ireland are third in Group A, just a point behind joint-leaders Switzerland and Austria. Ireland will face Austria in Salzburg on June 30th, followed by hosting Switzerland on July 3rd at the National Basketball Arena, with the game tipping off at 1715.
Ireland remain firmly in contention to reach the second round of FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Pre-Qualifiers, with the two best second-placed teams, as well as the three group winners progressing.
Ireland senior men’s head coach, Mark Keenan, said: “This is a massive window for us and we’ll take huge confidence from February’s win over Cyprus, as well as pushing Switzerland to the very limit. The squad and staff are really excited about these upcoming games.
Our home support has been huge for us so far and we’re looking forward to another packed out National Basketball Arena for our final game in this round of FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Pre-Qualifiers.”
