Jr. NBA draft takes place as schools find out affiliated teams

The Jr. NBA Draft for 2023 has taken place at the National Basketball Arena, as 10 clubs and their schools found out their affiliated NBA teams for the upcoming programme. 

CBS Sexton Street have been paired with the current NBA champion Golden State Warriors, Holly Park Foxrock have drawn last year's beaten finalist Boston Celtics, while Corpus Christi Glasnevin are matched up with the Lebron James led Los Angeles Lakers.

The primary goal of the Jr. NBA in Ireland, which is in its fourth year, is to provide a fun opportunity for children to be introduced to basketball. Basketball Ireland want to ensure that everybody taking part in the programme has the same goal; to give young players an engaging introduction to the sport. It's a great, non-competitive way for schools to start their journey in basketball.
