Extended Ireland U16 girls panel named by head coach Andy Gill

Ireland U16 Girl's head coach Andy Gill has shortlisted an extended panel for the team as they begin to make preparations for next summer's FIBA U16 Women's European Championships.

"We had over 130 players over the trial weekend, so it has been a tough job to make a squad selection. We decided that we would select an extended squad to attend, what is effectively, a second trial but with much smaller numbers thus giving the coaching team time to truly assess each players skill-set and attitude to the demands that will be placed upon them. We were pleased with the overall standard we saw, and we look forward to another difficult weekend of selection", said head coach Andy Gill of the selection process.

The following players have been selected to go forward to the next round of trials for the U16 girls' team. The next set of trials will take place on 20th/21st November. Times and venue will be confirmed at a later date, and details will be emailed to players.
