Ireland began their FIBA EuroBasket campaign with an impressive 81-73 victory in Nicosia against Cyprus, followed by a 97-70 defeat to Austria and those results leave Ireland very much in contention within the group, with four matches still to play. Ireland will also play Austria on June 30th, rounding out their Group A games with a home contest against Switzerland on July 3rd.
