Media accreditation opens for National League finals

Media accreditation for National League finals weekend is now open, including ‘Super Saturday’ on April 1st, which will see the InsureMyVan.ie Super League final and MissQuote.ie Champions Trophy final broadcast live on TG4. 12 games will be played over three days, from Friday March 31st to April 2nd.

Media wishing to cover the National League finals weekend should email accreditation@ireland.basketball by 5pm on Monday, March 27th, marking the subject title ‘National League Finals Accreditation’. No late applications will be accepted. 

You must include your name, media organisation, position (journalist/videographer/photographer), highlighting the game/s you wish to attend.

Post-game mixed zones will be in operation and media must strictly adhere to the zones allocated on their passes. Fixtures details can be found below.

The National League finals begin on Friday 31st with the InsureMyVan.ie U20 Men’s National League plate at 6pm and the InsureMyVan.ie U20 Men’s National League final at 8.15pm.

A bumper Saturday of basketball, starts with the MissQuote.ie Champions Trophy final, as The Address UCC Glanmire or Waterford Wildcats take on DCU Mercy or Trinity Meteors at 12 noon. The second game on TG4’s ‘Super Saturday’ is the InsureMyVan.ie Super League final at 2.15pm, with either UCC Demons or Emporium Cork Basketball facing University of Galway Maree or Belfast Star. As well as being broadcast live on TG4, fans will be also able to watch on basketballireland.tv.

At 6pm on Saturday the MissQuote.ie Division 1 League Cup final will be decided and the day concludes with the InsureMyVan.ie Division 1 League final at 8.15pm, with promotion to the InsureMyVan.ie Super League the prize. The final will be Moy Tolka Rovers or Limerick Sport Eagles versus Malahide or Ulster University.

On Sunday Portlaoise Panthers play Cobh in the Women’s National Intermediate League Plate final at 11pm, it’s followed at 1pm by the Women’s National Intermediate League final between Liffey Celtics v Claregalway.

The weekend is wrapped up with highlight of the Masters basketball calendar, UCD Marian or BNAF will play Neptune at 3pm in the InsureMyHouse.ie Over 40 Men’s Masters National Cup final. At 5pm it’s the InsureMyHouse.ie Over 40 Women’s Masters National Cup final between Midlands Masters and Cork Rebels.
