The Domino’s Women’s Division One had its penultimate round of games before the playoffs commence this weekend, and saw Templeogue shock the league leaders in Cleveland Rockets. Clunetech Kilkenny Stars saw two defeats this weekend with a loss on Saturday to Dublin Raiders followed by a defeat to Cleveland Rockets in a rescheduled game that was played on Sunday.
Limerick Sport Huskies kept their playoff push going as they beat Swords Thunder by 23-points. Limerick Celtics stayed in the top-three with a 95-73 triumph over Abbey Seals Dublin lions and Moy Tolka Rovers suffered a setback as University of Galway Mystics won 85-55 in Kingfisher. In the Domino’s Men’s Division One, Maigh Cuilinn upset Maree in a seven-point victory. Maree would then recover to defeat ND Audit Portlaoise Panthers on Sunday.
Sofia Paska and Hannah Murphy combined for 51 points as Templeogue defeated Cleveland Rockets 87-71 in TUD Tallaght on Saturday. In a game with 15 lead changes, it was a 53-point second half for Templeogue turned the game on its head to give them their 12th victory of the season.
The win for Templeogue keeps them level with Limerick Celtics and Limerick Sport huskies, but sit in fourth as Celtics hold the head to head record over them. For Rockets, the loss was just their third of the season and sees them finish the weekend 14-3 after defeating Stars on Sunday.
Rockets recovered from a rocky start in O’Loughlin Gaels to beat Clunetech Kilkenny Stars 83-73 on Sunday. Aoibheann Donnelly and Caitlin Gloeckner scored 22 points each to get Rockets over the line to make it one win and one loss for the weekend. Caoimhe Timmons had 21 for Stars in the loss as they made it back to back losses for the weekend after suffering a 26-point defeat to Dublin Raiders on Saturday. Mikayla Woods scored 19 for Raiders as they led from the first quarter, all the way to the end of the game.
Stars remain in sixth position, with a record of 7-10, one win away from Moy Tolka Rovers in the table. As it stands Star would travel to face Limerick Celtics in the Domino’s Division One quarter-finals. As for Dublin Raiders, they are ninth at 4-13 for the season, unable to reach the playoffs before the season ends.
Limerick Sport Huskies are now just one win away from securing home court for both the quarter and semi-finals of the playoffs, after a 37-point performance from Shelby Harmeyer gave them a 91-58 win over Swords Thunder in Limerick on Saturday. Harmeyer hit nine threes in the game for Huskies as they picked up their 12th win of the season.
Huskies hold the head to head record over Limerick Celtics which keeps them in second place for the time being. With a win over Abbey Seals Dublin Lions next weekend sealing second for them. Thunder are in seventh at 6-11, holding the advantage over Mystics in eighth.
Limerick Celtics displayed a strong team performance with a 95-73 victory over Abbey Seals Dublin Lions. 16-year old Irish U18 international Laura Buckley had a season-high 28 points for Celtics, with seven threes made. Katie Richards had a season-high 22, along with seven rebounds and eight assists, whilst Sidney Richards and Sabhbh Edwards Murphy both had double-double games, with Richards scoring 14 and grabbing 10 rebounds and Murphy getting 13 points and 13 rebounds. Tara Nevin scored seven threes for Lions on her way to a season-high 24 points in the defeat.
Celtics made it six wins in seven games in 2026, as they prepare to take on Clunetech Kilkenny Stars next weekend, which could potentially be a playoff quarter-final preview should the table remain the same. Lions are eliminated from playoff contention as they are 4-13 but are below Dublin Raiders at the foot of the table.
University of Galway Mystics defeated Moy Tolka Rovers 85-55 on Saturday thanks to the duo of Emma Glavin and Kara McCleane, who combined for 44 of their 85 points in the game. Irish U18 international Naomi Farrington led the way for Tolka with an 18-point game and American Dane Bertolina added 15 in the defeat.
The loss for Tolka is their ninth of the season, but remain ahead of Kilkenny after two losses this weekend for Stars. The win for Mystics keeps them level with Swords Thunder but remain in eighth due to the head to head advantage for Thunder.
Maree had two games in the Domino’s Men’s Division One to be played this weekend, and they delivered a mixed bag with one win and one loss. On Saturday, Maree saw defeat to Maigh Cuilinn in an 84-77 loss. Isaiah Taylor had his fourth 40+ point game of the season on Saturday, scoring 43 against Maigh Cuilinn. Grant Olsson had 31 points for Maigh Cuilinn in the win as they move up to tenth in the table, one win away from Moy Tolka Rovers in seventh.
Maree then regained some momentum with an 80-72 triumph over ND Audit Portlaoise Panthers on Sunday. It was Rinor Dragusha who pushed Maree to victory on Sunday, with a 23-point, eight-rebound performance. Amiri Stewart and Xabier Arriaga combined for 58 points for the Panthers, with Stewart scoring 38 by himself. The defeat for the Panthers sees them fall to 11-9 for the season as the race for the final playoff spot goes down to the final two rounds of the regular season.
One victory and one defeat for Maree means they enter the top four at 14-6, with SPK Utility Trust Lakers level with Maree in the battle for fourth, however Maree hold the head to head advantage.
