Basketball Ireland will hold open trials for our international Masters programme at University of Galway's Kingfisher Gym on Saturday, October 26th.
Following on from a hugely successful expression of interest call for the FIMBA World Championships in Ticino, Switzerland in June of 2025 and the FIMBA European Championships in Greece in 2026, we can now hold open trials for all players.
They will take place in University of Galway's Kingfisher Arena on Saturday, October 26th. This will be a two-year programme which will enable greater fundraising potential and team preparation. This was one of the main feedbacks from the survey of all participants in the FIMBA European Championship in Pessaro earlier this year.
The fee per player for the day will be €10, all of which will be ringfenced for Masters Basketball in Basketball Ireland. Anyone who hasn't registered via the expression of interest form can do so by emailing mastersbasketball@ireland.basketball
All coaches, assistant coaches and managers will also be expected to attend and will assist in the running of the trials on the day. More information will follow individually to all these applicants closer to the trial date.
