Ireland U20 women's head coach Karl Kilbride is exciting about beginning the journey with this team. "We’re looking forward to kicking off the U20 women’s programme on the 14th with our first talent ID session. We already know that there is a huge amount of talent around the country and I’ve no doubt it will be a really tough job having to narrow numbers down. It’s a really exciting time, preparing to go play in the U20 A division against the absolute best players and countries in Europe. It’s an amazing opportunity for anyone with the ambition to test themselves at the highest level. There’s obviously a huge amount of work ahead of us, but the whole management team can’t wait to get started", he said.
The Ireland U20 women's team will compete in next summer's FIBA U20 Women's European Championship 2022, hosted by Hungary on 9th-17th July.
