Basketball Ireland announces webinars to help clubs applications for Sports Capital and Equipment Programme

Basketball Ireland, in partnership with 2into3, will run a webinar series to support clubs with their applications for the Sports Capital and Equipment Programme (SCEP).

The Sports Capital and Equipment Programme (SCEP) was recently opened by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media for a new round of applications. Basketball Ireland is encouraging clubs to make an application for funding. The maximum available grants for this year have increased substantially, from €150,000 to €200,000 for local grants, and from €300,000 to €500,000 for regional grants, while clubs can also apply for up to €40,000 for sports equipment.

To support clubs with their applications, Basketball Ireland will be running three webinars with 2into3, a company who specialises in grant applications for sports clubs. The webinars will take place on the following dates:

  1. Tuesday 25th July 7-8:30pm Equipment
  2. Thursday 27th July 7-8:30pm Local Capital
  3. Friday 28th July 7-8:30pm Regional Capital

To register for the webinars, individuals must fill out a registration form here.

Paul Carr, Basketball Ireland Grants and Participation Manager, said: “I am delighted to offer these supports to our clubs to help them with their application for the Sports Capital and Equipment Programme. 2into3 have great experience in this field and provided valuable support for our clubs during the last round of the Sports Capital applications. Basketball clubs had great success during the last funding cycle, and we hope more clubs will apply this time around”.
