Basketball Ireland seeking participants to sit on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee

Basketball Ireland are recruiting participants to be part of the newly formed Diversity and Inclusion Committee. This committee will be formed as an evolution of the Diversity panel and will seek to represent all members of the Basketball Ireland community. The committee will advise the Basketball Ireland board and staff to help the organization be proactive and lead from the front in the sports industry.

Basketball Ireland has appointed Marianna Troy as the first Chairperson of the newly formed committee.

Marrianna had this to say about the appointment:

“I would like to thank the Board of Basketball Ireland for entrusting me with the role of Chairperson for our Diversity Committee. It is both an honour and a responsibility that I take very seriously. Diversity is not just a buzzword; it’s a reflection of the rich tapestry of human experience.
