Ireland U20 Women's National Team coach to hold open talent identification session

Ireland U20 women's national team head coach Karl Kilbride will hold an open talent identification session in March, as preparations continue for the 2026 international basketball season. 

The session will take place in Mercy Secondary School in Waterford on Sunday, March 15th between 11:00 and 16:00. A training fee of €20 will be required and can be paid on the day. Players born in 2006 and 2007 are eligible.

"We're stepping up our preparations for the FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket and it'll be great to have a look at the talent coming through the ranks and this session in Waterford allows us to do so",  head coach Karl Kibride said.

He added: "Our U20 women's team finished 7th in our last tournament and we'll be setting ambitious goals once more for this summer."
