Basketball Ireland officially launched the AIG All-Ireland Club Championships at the U14 Girls tournament in Gormanston Park. AIG, who are the official Club and Community Partner to Basketball Ireland, continue to play a pivotal role in supporting the next generation of basketball talent in Ireland and championing inclusivity and participation in sport nationwide.
The AIG All-Ireland Club Championships sees some of the most promising players at U14 and U16 level compete for silverware. Dublin Lions lifted the U14 Girls Division A title on Sunday, with Galway club Maree taking Division B honours, while Limerick Sport Huskies claimed the Division C title.

Recent players to feature at the AIG All-Ireland Club Championships include Ireland senior and U20 international Grace Prenter and Ireland U20 international Sean Fitzpatrick. Prenter won an U16 Girls Division A title at the AIG All-Ireland Club Championships in 2022 with Dublin club Meteors, defeating Liffey Celtics 43-42 in the final.
Speaking at the launch in Gormanston Park, Prenter said: “The All-Ireland Club Championships played a vital role in my development as a player, providing an elite level tournament to test myself. It’s such a prestigious competition, that every underage club player aspires to play in and win.”
The AIG All-Ireland Club Championships take place over four weekends, next up is the U14 Boys (April 5th–6th), followed by the U16 Girls (April 12th–13th) and U16 Boys (April 26th–27th) competitions.
