All-Ireland Schools League Finals week fixtures and results

The culmination of a busy schools period for our U19 and U16 stars takes place this week in the National Basketball Arena in the form of our All-Ireland Schools League Finals.  Coaches, teachers, players and parents will arrive en-masse to step onto the hardwood and see if they can maximise the return for the long hours spent training over the winter months.

This week we see a number of our Pinergy All-Ireland Schools Cup champions look to complete a clean sweep in their age group. Virgina College, Cavan, already crowned the Pinergy All-Ireland champions will attempt to complete the double in this years U19A competition, with only Mount Sackville, Dublin standing in their way.

Similarly, St. Finian’s College, Mullingar are looking to head back to the Midlands having completing their own clean sweep in our U16C competitions, Coláiste Chu Chuliann Dundalk will prove worthy opponents and will be determined to take the glory back to the North East.

Pipers Hill, Nass will be hoping that rub of the green sits with their U16B girls team, having seen their U19B Girls take home the Pinergy All Ireland Cup in recent weeks. This week will see if the school can round out a remarkable year for the Kildare natives if they can overcome Mount Temple in the U16B  final on Wednesday.

The great Kerry v Dublin rivalry will once again be on display, but this time on the hard wood of the N.B.A as St. Michael's College, Listowel face Moyle Park College, Dublin this Tuesday in our U19B Boys final.

Coláiste Eanna, Dublin will hope to banish the memories of their recent loses as they contest both the U19 and U16A boys games this week.

Irrespective of who steps up to collect gold medals in the All-Ireland League Finals this week, we are guaranteed to witness twists and turns aplenty as the young men and women strut their stuff in the home of basketball this week.
