Meanwhile, over in Killester, they continued their great start to the season by following up a 27-point victory last weekend with a 28-point win against UCC Glanmire this weekend. The three starters of Michelle Clarke, Samantha Haiby and Audrey Roden combined for 54 of Killesters 78 points. They were also helped by a strong showing off the bench from Leilani Turner who scored 13 points on 5-11 shooting from the field.  Killesters unbeaten run will be tested next weekend as they travel to face another undefeated side in Brunell next Sunday.

There was one game on Sunday which saw Midlands Park Portlaoise Panthers take on Utility Trust St. Pauls Killarney in a game where both sides were searching for their second win of the season. The offensive power of the St. Pauls duo Tara Cousins and Maisie Burnham ensured that the Killarney side put on a dominant performance in Portlaoise where they took the lead in minute one and did not give up the lead for the remainder of the game which ended in a scoreline of 72-62 to St. Pauls. Cousins and Burnham were shooting the lights out against the Panthers scoring a combined 43 points between them including seven threes. The win moves Utility Trust St. Pauls Killarney to 2-0 and gives Portlaoise their first loss of the season. The Killarney side will look to remain undefeated when they host Catalyst Fr. Mathews next weekend while the Panthers travel to promoted side McEvoy's Cavan Eagles, who are still looking for their first win.
