Registrations have opened for the Basketball Ireland Post-Primary Schools U19 & U16 Cup and League for the 2021/22 season.

Chair of the Post-Primary School Committee Marie O'Toole commenting on the return of schools to competition said: "We are all really excited and inundated with schools telling us that they are really looking forward to the year ahead. It is however most important to ensure that BI Covid regulations are strictly adhered to as we seek to get schools competition schedules back on track safely."

We’re looking forward to seeing more and more schools register for these prestigious competitions and increase participation in the game across the country.” - David Slattery, Pinergy Head of Marketing.

  • PINERGY U19/U16 BOYS SCHOOLS CUP ENTRY FORM IS HERE.

It is important to note that this is an All-Ireland competition and may involve significant travel. Due to the later start of the competition, entries will be capped at 16 per competition and will be on a first come, first served, basis.

To be clear, if we reach 16 teams before the deadline of 12 noon of 15th September 2021, the competition entry will be closed. Therefore, entry closes when we reach 16 teams, or the deadline – whichever comes first.

As per previous seasons B & C competitions will be divided North and South in terms of the draw, to minimise travel for this season. The A Cups will also be divided into North and South. This will be based on entries received, so may not always be a straight split. Entry into the competition will still involve significant travel and it is likely it will be outside your region.

Please note the following deadline & important information:

**Deadline for entry Wednesday 15th September 2021 – 12 noon or when 16 teams per competition is reached

**The form will be closed after this time, and entries will not be accepted.
