The Address UCC Glanmire made it 13 league and cup wins in a row with a 99-52 win at IT Carlow Basketball in the MissQuote.ie Super League on Saturday.
The InsureMyHouse.ie Paudie O’Connor Cup champions led at the end of each quarter, with their points evenly spread. Their two Americans led scoring, Tierney Pfirman on 18 and Carrie Shephard on 15, followed by Ireland international Claire Melia with 11. IT Carlow’s offensive efforts were headed by Lauren LaPlant (22), Alyssa Velles (12) and Miah Ryan (10)

The win moved The Address UCC Glanmire temporarily three points clear at the top of the MissQuote.ie Super League only for Singleton SuperValu Brunell to join them on Sunday, after defeating Trinity Meteors 71-61.
Singleton SuperValu trailed 33-32 at half-time before opening up a 10-point advantage by the end of the third 47-37 to help steer them to victory. Ireland co-captain Edel Thornton top scored with 19 points, followed by Kwanza Murray (18) and Shannon Ryan (16). Trinity Meteors scoring was led by A'Lexxus Davis (25), with international duo Sarah Kenny and Dayna Finn hitting 15 and 13 points respectively.

WIT Waterford Wildcats lost ground at the top after their game at Team Garvey’s St. Mary’s on Saturday was postponed due to Covid-19. Next up for Tommy O’Mahony’s side is The Address UCC Glanmire on Wednesday, while Team Garvey’s St. Mary’s face Singleton SuperValu Brunell on the same day.
DCU Mercy picked up their first win in three MissQuote.ie Super League games, with a 85-71 success at Killester. Their two Americans Bailey Greenberg (35) and Alarie Mayze (30) scored the majority of their points, but it was the team’s defence that head coach Mark Ingle highlighted in the aftermath.

Killester's main scoring threat came from Shannon Powell (27) and Myah Taylor (22).
It was a second win in a row for Leixlip Amenities Liffey Celtics, defeating Fr. Mathews 87-64. They had a 21 point advantage by half-time, 47-26 and never looked back. Kate O’Flaherty (23), Ciara Bracken (19) and new signing Emi Guimond (18) led their attack, while Fr. Mathews’ leading scorers were Ireland co-captain Gráinne Dwyer (21), Shannon Brady (17) and Aisling McCann (11)
Leixlip Amenities Liffey Celtics head coach Ioannis Liapakis was delighted afterwards.

In the MissQuote.ie Division 1 South Conference leaders NUIG Mystics responded to their 73-68 midweek defeat at Limerick Sport Huskies with a 79-62 victory over Limerick Celtics on Friday. Courtney Cecere and Hazel Finn top scored for the victors with 16 points each. Sofia Paska continued her good form for Limerick Celtics with an impressive 25 point haul.

Griffith College Templeogue followed up their 62-26 win over Swords Thunder on Wednesday with a 77-58 road win at LYIT Donegal. The Tunnah sisters Amie and Lynn scored 18 and 14 points, while Hannah Murphy also bagged 14. Shannon Cunningham continued her impressive season for the home side, scoring 24 points, backed up by Emma Gribben (14) and Nakyeea Goodman-Boddie (11).

Swords Thunder defeated Phoenix Rockets 75-68 at ALSAA Sports Complex - Peggy Black (21), Bethany Thompson (13) and Laura Fortune (12) playing instrumental parts to their win, while Georgie McGrath’s 31 point performance was enough to help Phoenix Rockets to pick up a win, with Brooke Alexander and Anna Brennan contributing 13 and 10 points respectively.
Limerick Sport Huskies were 40 point winners at Marble City Hawks, winning 91-51. A third of their points came courtesy of Yuleska Ramirez (31), backed up by Taylor Head (18), Sophie Moore (11) and Sinead Nihill (11). For the home side Elaine Kennington once again was top of the score charts for them on 10 points, followed by Joanne Wall (9) and Grace Lawlor (7).
On Sunday Ulster University defeated Phoenix Rockets at UUJ 88-69, with Lexi Posset (21), Abigail Rafferty (21) and Ciara Cooke (19) to the fore in their win, while Phoenix Rockets scoring was headed by Brooke Alexander (25), Georgie McGrath (24) and Anna Brennan (11).
Portlaoise Panthers won 65-60 at Tipperary Knights in a closely fought contest. Antigonie Sanabria once again topped scoring for the victors on 25, while Lisa Blaney had 13 and Ciara Wheeler 10. For Tipperary Knights it was Meabh Humphreys (18), Emma Carey (17) and Rosie Tobin (11) who were most fruitful at the basket.
