How did you get into basketball: “I got into basketball at a young age because of my dad and older sister Saoirse. I’ve always looked up to her a lot, so when she joined the DCU Mercy academy that was across the road from our house, I immediately wanted to join!”

Best tip you’d give to an aspiring basketball player: “The best advice that I’d give to anyone pursuing their passion is that the only thing you can ever control 100% of the time is your attitude and effort.”

Favourite player growing up: “I might be a little biased, but my sister Saoirse! Closely followed by Larry Bird (heavily influenced by my dad!)”

Favourite current player: “Napheesa Collier or Luka Doncic.”

Toughest opponent you have faced on the court: “I’ve been lucky to play against so many great players, both internationally and in Ireland, but if I had to choose, I’d say Jazmine Boone during my first few years playing in the Super League. “

Your best moment on a basketball court: “It's really hard to pick just one! I’ve been fortunate enough to have so many memorable basketball moments, but some standouts would be our U16 Europeans quarter-finals qualifier, when we beat England, the U18 European championship semi-finals in 2018, when we beat Poland and the 2018 National Cup final weekend when I got to be a part of all three of the U18, U20 and Super League Cup wins for DCU Mercy!”

Basketball career goals: “Right now, my goals are to just keep improving and to achieve as much as I can with my Holy Cross team and hopefully win a Patriot League title; after that I just want to continue to pursue basketball and be around the sport for as long as I can!”

Hobbies outside basketball: “I love to read and watch Netflix, but most of my spare time is filled with college work!”

Favourite Food: “My Mum’s Christmas dinner, sushi, and Brennan’s bread (sorely missed Stateside!)”

Favourite music band or artist: “My current Spotify rotation is Drake, The Weekend, Beyonce and The Strypes.”

Your TV series recommendation: “Any ‘30 for 30’ episode (my particular favourite is the Bad Boys: 30 for 30!) or Peaky Blinders!”
