Basketball Ireland is looking to increase its presence in the Fingal Area with a Basketball Ireland Community Development Officer and is now inviting applications for the role in conjunction with Fingal County Council.
The successful candidate will be committed to providing participation opportunities for all sections of the community in various basketball activities. They will work with organisations including local authorities, clubs, schools and Basketball Ireland, with the primary goal of ensuring that suitable programmes and training services are in place at local and national levels.

Job title:
‘Basketball in the Community Development Officer’ (BCDO) to work within the Fingal County Council catchment area.
Reports To:
Basketball Ireland Head of Development.
Role Duties:
The “BCDO” will continue to deliver Basketball Ireland Programmes and ensure that the activities in Fingal are properly integrated into the broader objectives of promoting basketball and community development generally.
The “BCDO” will work closely with existing agencies, as nominated by Fingal County Council, and operate in an integrated manner with all relevant personnel, communities, and target groups.
These target groups will be reviewed on an annual basis and amended as required. Work programmes that are developed must include the designated target groups.
